Movement At Home Weekend Guide
We are committed to sharing with you the authentic Movement experience no matter where you are. It’s no replacement for an evening in the amphitheater, or a sweaty night in the underground, but that won’t stop us from letting loose like only Detroit can. Join us May 23-25 for our Movement At Home live stream weekend. Share in the festivities with us by tagging @movementdetroit and using #MovementAtHome.
1. Capture YOUR Movement
Whether you’re a party of one, broadcasting the stream for the entire family, or listening while away from home… we want to see how you Movement! The outfits, crew, and vibes- we want it all! Be sure to tag us in all your pics or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org to be featured in our feeds.
2. Watch Party!
Nothing like a little Crew Love to raise everyone’s spirits. We all know about social distancing, but that doesn’t mean we can’t watch together! Whether you prefer Zoom, Hangouts, Facebook, or the old-fashioned FaceTime. Movement Squad – Assemble!
3. #MovementOOTD Contest
While we’re in the spirit of fashion and friends, we’ve teamed up with our good friends at Aptemal to host a fashion challenge during Movement At Home. The contest is simple: just show us your best festival ensemble, post your photo/video, use the hashtag #MovementOOTD (a must) and make sure to tag @movementdetroit and @aptemal for your chance to win exclusive Movement and DHH merch packs! Contest ends May 25th at 10pm EDT.
4. Street Beet Brunchywrap At Home Recipe with Nina and Meghan
We can’t be the only ones missing all those brunch hangs with friends. Nothing prepares you for a Memorial Day in Hart Plaza quite like a good meal, and our friends at Street Beet filmed a cooking segment to show us how to make “Brunchywrap At Home”. The segment will air Monday, May 25 at 11am EST on Facebook and YouTube. Check out the recipe HERE.
5. Movement At Home Playlist
Get your head in the game with our Movement At Home Spotify Playlist. Featuring tracks from At Home artists, it has something for everyone. Matthew Dear’s electronic pop, Dirtybird’s banging house, and more Techno than you can shake a stick at.
6. Delivery, Take Out, Curbside, Oh My!
It’s no Chicken On A Stick, but try and set up a food court in your own kitchen! Our friends at Detroit Metro Times have put together a list of all the business offering to-go options, so be sure to snag some of your favorites, and know that you are helping to keep local business alive. See the list here.
7. Plan, Plan, Plan!
With so much going on, you sure don’t want to miss any of the fun. Planning is key to a successful festival, so be sure you don’t miss any of your favorites, but save some time to discover some new loves as well. Oh, and don’t miss Monday’s brunch (see #4)!
